Giving Surplus a Second Life

‘Giving Surplus a Second Life‘ is an initiative that Hospital Beds UK have put together to give back to deserving cases around the world.  We have a surplus of hospital beds that we have purchased from the NHS to avoid them going to landfill.  They have been serviced and ready to use in hospitals or care homes around the world.  We provide brand new mattresses as an option for each bed.

A Bed that initially sold for £2,000 (when new); we are now able to offer at only £150 NO VAT (+ £50 if one wants a mattress). We are looking for a few charities to help support this vital support and help us fill another container, as each container cost £3,500 to ship to countries like Lagos.  We offer a signed certificate, that we give to our supporters, so they can share it with their organisation; for all to see the good works we are able to do achieve together.

As a guide, typically a 40’ container will hold approximately 50 Beds & Mattresses, or 250 mattresses, so we looking for either a 50 bed donation or a number of organisations offering to support a smaller contribution, to enable us to fill each container. That said, we can accept any contribution, however small. If this isn’t possible for your organisation at this time, maybe you could make your associates aware of the project, so they can consider supporting this vital work.

You or one of your team is welcome to visit and view the quality of the beds before making a final decision and have your photo taken receiving the Certificate in front of the beds and then use in your PR activities.
